Ironman Kona 2012 Bike and Run File Review

Be Warned...lots of introspection and review-age of very unsexy data and results....kinda like watching over my shoulder as I do it...if you like it, give me some feedback thanks!!!!

hey P. tough day for sure out there!
i'd like to hear more about how you "felt". did you feel great on the bike and then fall off late in the run? etc.
generally i look for my HR to confirm how i feel. my legs felt heavy from the get go. HR was high watts were low (due to me managing my effort)
I feel like for the relative low intensity of an IM we are much more likely to have a slow decline, rather than a sudden blow up. (with the prior happening to myself)

also i feel like the long travel is a bigger issue than the heat for me?
esp. for you east coast folks. thats an epic travel day!
also 2nd IM in a summer... another big issue.

my question that i have asked myself "how do i arrive better/ at 100%, on race day?" i can do it else where but 0-2 in kona. and while the heat is a factor, this yr. esp., that is not my first go to item. it was 90+ all summer here in CO. !!

OK wow, big comment, to much for a simple reply likely. good seeing you. great job. i hope these are some good thoughts for everyone.

still working on my Race report and analysis. i'll try and hit these topics.
